Nokia N73 Camera Phone

The Nokia N73 Camera Phone, part of the multimedia N series, is a quad-band GSM/EDGE handset, which includes functions like 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, mechanical shutter and integrated flash.  The shape of the Nokia N73 camera phone is candy shaped, with a cool 262K-color display.

Although the phone itself bulky (110mm by 49mm by 19mm) cramped with a small keypad - it is an attractive camera phone that comes with a king size display screen, and more importantly very light, weighing in at 116 grams only.

More Nokia N73 Review

Infosync Review Reviews the Nokia N73 Camera Phone and writes, "Falling only marginally short of the image quality produced by its gargantuan N93 sibling, Nokia's N73 is a superb choice for shutterbugs with its excellent picture taking skills, a multitude of sharing options and compact size - but for some strange reason it skimps on memory. The basics have also been looked well after with first-rate calling and solid messaging capabilities under the hood alongside a raft of multimedia and productivity options; whether for pleasure or business, this one's a winner."

Digital Photography Reviews the Nokia N73 Camera Phone and writes, "The Nokia N73 is undoubtedly a very desirable and up-to-date mobile phone with a built in camera. Considering its specification, the N73 is relatively good value and available free in the UK under contract with the better known networks. There is still room for improvement in the camera department to make it cope better with less than perfect lighting conditions, but overall I'd certainly be happy to own and use an N73 and so I'm pleased to give it the stamp of approval via the DPNow Editor's Choice award."

NewsWireless reviews the Nokia N73 and writes, "The camera is a nice 3.2-megapixel one, with a Carl Zeiss lens. No optical zoom here, but a 20x digital one which wouldn't be worth including if Nokia didn't bundle so many other image-enhancing capabilities with the device. The affect of a digital zoom is identical to zooming in on a shot using a PC graphics package, so the normal argument is that you might as well do the work once the pictures are transferred off the camera. However, Nokia wants to look towards a world without PCs, so you will need to do everything on your phone. To that end you can change the brightness, contrast and sharpness as well as cropping, resizing, adding clip-art, applying effects like frames and text boxes, or perform red-eye reduction - all without the graphic leaving the phone and just by using the four-way control stick and two soft-menu keys."

Cnet reviews the Nokia N73 Cell Phone and writes, "Nokia's N73 is one of the best camera phones we've seen this year, with a wide range of multimedia and business features tucked under its belt. Responsiveness, however, is not a strong point."

Mobile Tech Review reviews the Nokia N73 and Writes, "If you're a smartphone user and love to take photos, this phone is a godsend! No more deciding between a useful business phone and one that's fun to use and can take simply wonderful photos. The N73 has one of the best cameras of any phone on the market, with only Nokia's own N93 and the Sony Ericsson K790 / K800i competing.  The phone has excellent reception and call quality with fast data rates over EDGE and good ergonomics (though the straightforward design might seem boring it does make for an easy to use phone). Bluetooth is fast which is a plus when transferring those big photos and videos. The screen is gorgeous! Battery life is good and the smartphone is responsive in all tasks."

Actual Customer FeedBack on Nokia N73

"To my surprise (after reading other reviews), I found the N73 to be quite fast and responsive. Anybody suffering lagged performance is probably using cheaper (lower speed) miniSD memory (premium miniSD cards can be up to 20x faster than cheaper SanDisk, Kingston and own branded cards)."

"the best thing abt N73 is its camera and screen resolution..and it has good battery backup too..but the problem is its small keypad....the sound is good from other nokis phones.... overall a good phone with many features..."

- Portion of actual user review from Cnet

"Best Nokia phone Ive used so far. I like the design and the look of it. Functions wise very nice - and it is compatible and can be easily downloaded with lots of 3rd party softwares and themes. Camera quality is very good. UI is alright - can be a little slow when you have lots of things open at once - but doesnt all phones??."
